About Harrison Katz
Producer & Storyteller

My name is Harrison (Harry) Katz and I am a proud native of Austin, Texas. Film has been an integral part of my life since childhood, thanks in large part to my mother who took any opportunity she could get to make me watch her favorite movies. I still remember the first time watching SnatchLittle Shop of Horrors, and Sixteen Candles, all probably before the suggested viewing age. I decided to explore my interest in film by joining the renowned K-AHS film program at Austin High School, where I was immersed in the demanding world of filmmaking, producing 3-4 shorts every week. This early exposure set the tone for my journey into the industry.

At the University of Colorado at Boulder, I pursued my passion by studying Film Production. This experience allowed me to expand my skills and delve even deeper into the art of storytelling.

Beyond the realm of film, I find comfort and inspiration in nature. From snowboarding to surfing to camping, exploring the great outdoors is a cherished pastime of mine. Additionally, I have a profound love for literature and writing and am always eager to delve into a new book or put pen to paper and write down a captivating idea of my own. Essential to fueling my creativity, travel is a priority whenever possible as I’ve discovered seeking new experiences enriches my storytelling abilities.

Ultimately, my obsession lies in the power of narrative. I am deeply passionate about crafting and sharing stories that resonate with others. Through film, I strive to connect with audiences on a profound level, taking them on unforgettable journeys that make a lasting impact.

"There are no rules in filmmaking. Only sins. And the cardinal sin is dullness."
- Frank Capra
